Recommendations That Could Save Your Life! (on the Regent's exam..it's pretty useless if you're trapped in an avalanche or facing a zombie apocalypse)
I. Recommended Books
1. Prentice Hall's Regent's Review Book
Description: I LOVE this review book and recommend it HIGHLY. It has great test taking tips, and short review chapters that give you short and sweet info on every topic for Global History. It is also contains real Regent's Review questions throughout the book to practice on.
The con is that there are no answer keys so grading your work is a little more time consuming, but the review chapters more than make up for this flaw. Put this at the top of your Review to do list

2. Barron's Regent's Review
This is the long time standard of Regent's Review. I used this thing when I took Regent's exams a looooooonnngggg time ago. The review chapters are short and not as good as Prentice Hall's but it does have answer keys to all the Review questions. In short, this book has helped millions of students pass the exam but it doesn't have anything that isn't available for free on the internet.

This is a very cool review website. These folks use popular hip hop songs, change the lyrics to Global History content and you can listen to it on the their website. The lyrics are also on the screen so you follow along. There are also several review games to play that are fun and effective. All this, plus real regents review questions also. I had 10th graders check this site out and they really enjoyed using it. This is definitely a top pick for fun and usefulness.
